Drool Alert: Voigtländer E-Mount Super-Wide Primes Coming Soon!

10mm, 12mm and 15mm manual focus primes in native Sony e-mount. Oh, baby!

10mm, 12mm and 15mm manual focus primes in native Sony e-mount. Oh, baby!

I can't wait to get my hands on these lenses.  There's a fairly high probability one of them will find its way into my kit (I think maybe the 10mm, though the 15mm on a Sony a6300  [B&H|Amazon] offers the equivalent field of view of a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera - my favorite on a full frame -- but dang, I guess I need to see if the 12mm is my Goldilocks solution).

These are really small, manual focus lenses. If my last experience with Voigtländer lenses is any guide (I loved loved LOVED their m43 Noktons), the images coming out of them will be gorgeous.  I thought about getting the extant Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 Apherical III for Leica M cameras (and getting a Leica M to Sony E adapter  [B&H|Amazon]), but the blogosphere was too consistent about edge color shifts and severe vignetting that I decided to wait.

Really hoping the wait is worth it. If they've solved the edge issues, it will be!
